Reiki in Homework Sessions

This past week, I did a massage wrapping it up with Shiatsu and Reiki. While I am not going to school for Shiatsu, it is part of my homework for Alternative Modalities, thus something that I need to touch on while I'm doing my Massage Sessions.

As Alternative Modalities is one of the classes that I'm taking this quarter, I have been incorporating Reiki into my massage sessions.

The second week of school I started doing Reiki at the closing of the session. helped put my homework asleep both times.

I picked a bay that had a blinky light. Blinky light bad. The first massage went pretty well, we closed with Reiki, and her snoring.

The second, the blinky light, became a full blown blinky light, with it going off and everything. As we moved into the hour, it started to calm down a bit. And then put her to sleep too.

this past week I did Massage, Shiatsu, and Reiki.

I did the Bladder Line in Shiatsu and the Small Intestine Line. While I was closing with Reiki, I saw the little white dots of the the Bladder line down the back, and faintly, ever so faintly the small intestine line. I think the small intestine line was faint b/c I wasn't paying attn to to it, and I applied it incorrectly (started in the wrong area...oops!).

But while I was closing with Reiki, I just followed my intuition, and found that I was doing aura healing in the solar plexus. When I realized this, I continued to go with the flow, but at the end of the session, when we were talking, she stated that is where she keeps most of her stress.

Halloween, Samhain is coming.

A time of reflection. Making a list of forgiveness, a list of thanks, and things of that nature. Cleaning, cleansing, and so forth.

This year has been a big year for me, I started school, I'm still working full time, and I'm doing good. A bit stressed sometimes, but I'm good.

Car is still on the fritz, but hopefully, hopefully, I should be able to get it fixed soon.

I've now got my cards and pictures up online, and I'm looking to expand on that. I am still contemplating on the reception of art w/ Reiki Symbols, but I do have it set up on my etsy site, should I decide to do it.

I still give the gift of my photography, and sometimes a watercolor of Reiki.

But that's about it so far...

Since my last post, I have started school. I am currently attending Rasmussen College in Eden Prairie, for an Associates in Massage Therapy.

My first quarter ended in June, and my 2nd quarter begins this Monday.

I have 3 trips to schools scheduled, and I may schedule a 4th one, if possible.

I've pretty much decided that I will not be attending East West, but I want to look at what the other schools have to offer before I make final.

I've been accepted to East West Healing Arts Ins. in Madison, Wisconsin. But am finding difficult for financing. So, before I give East West my final decision, I would like to take a good look at the schools in the Twin City area. To see what they have to offer me.

I'm looking for a good foundation, to either have the basic knowledge of Massage Therapy, or a variety of education under the massage umbrella.

So I'm looking for information. First and foremost.

I'm also going to need access to financial aid. My parents are willing to help me, if the need arises, which I think it will.

Reiki Meditation and Prayer

For Summer Solstice, I did a meditation, and prayer.

The results of the Meditation are going to send me searching for something when I get a chance.

I also sent Reiki out towards both the Goddess and God.

I did some praying, for blessings, I had a union of a cousin, this weekend, among other things.

I took alot of pictures on Solstice.

I've used Reiki to help heal Bentley's stitches this past week.

Today I did a meditation. For 30 Minutes. Need to keep in mind, I need to either wear some slippers or some socks, b/c my feet get cold.

I watched two shows being Mediums: We See Dead People and Psychic Children: Their Sixth Sense. Throughout the morning.

My meditation was all over the map this morning, most likely b/c I haven't done my meditations like I should.

Activated Reiki. I didn't do so much w/ the symbols of Reiki, as activate my chakras, try and clear them out. My throat chakra was more work. It looked dark. Which most likely comes from the fact that I do not speak when I should, or that I keep things back. I usually wait a bit til it comes to a point I can't wait any longer.

Then I went down and out through the feet.

I saw yellow light, starting on the outside of my vision, and moving inwards. Like a yellow ring, and then it condenses to a yellow ball. I visualized my self in a stone round chair, w/ grass at my feet. Woods around me.

I say snakes. I python. I thought of wolves.

I thought of charging a white quartz and putting it w/ my bamboo, at the bottom of the dish w/ the rocks and water.

I thought about doing a garden w/ the symbols of reiki w/ it. I trying to think of ways to incorporate the Reiki into my art.

Towards the end of the Meditation, closed my chakras, and looked outside. At the tree and the rain coming down.

I offer this prayer.

I offer and send this Reiki, for the Men and Women in the Armed forces. I offer this Reiki for those who are left behind. I ask that Goddess Bridget watch over the families, and guide those that have passed to where they need to be.

Walking

Today I did some walking, about 30 minutes and 1.020 miles.

During my walk I felt this great need to give some Reiki to one of the willows on my walk. The last major storm that we had come through did a great deal of work on the trees.

I just felt a great need to do some Reiki for her.

The moon was great, so beautiful, coming into work today, moments like those, make me wish I brought my camera with me. And I thought about bringing it too.

I did a little ritual / prayer on May 1. And I enjoy using Reiki during rituals and prayer. The warmth I feel when doing Reiki is excellent and awe inspiring.

I find more and more that I enjoy talking to the Goddess. I find it comforting.

Lately though, w/ my reading into Native American and US relations, and current events I find that I have more questions then answers, and I find it comforting that I can talk to Her.

I find myself right w/ my choice to follow this path. And comfortable in my choice to be a pagan.

April 20, Prayer

Last night, I did pray again.

When I pray, or offer to Goddess Brigit, I use my Reiki with it. That is what I did.

I had a very good cry, it's what was, I felt needed, I needed to let it out, b/c I've been keeping it in all week, I would read the news, and get tears, but I wouldn't let it out.

Last night I let it out.

Goddess bless, those who have passed on, help there families, friends, and communities, move on.

I don't know what to ask for Cho, so I leave it up to Her, because I don't know what to ask.

Observations over the last 2 Days

Monday, April 16th

9:30am: A flash of Sensation of Wood, of being in the woods, of the smell of the Earth. Like reminding me of something, or a call.

11:30am and throughout my shift: A felt like crying while at work today, and still do. About the shooting at VA Tech. While I was was saying a prayer, and kept saying prayers throughout the morning I felt like crying.

Who do you answer a calling?

I lit candles after work, and before bed. For those that died today, as well as for the families, friends, and the all that were affected, including the gunman and his family. His family is going to get hit hard as well, being that it was their son or brother or cousin, that did this, but they may never have closure, as well as many affected by this, b/c the person who did this, killed himself.

Please understand in reference to the crying. I don't usually cry, I don't cry at funerals, I just don't cry, but lately, since starting Reiki, and meditations, my emotional side as been coming out of the shadow. Where I've hidden her most of my life. Emotions were not something I would release, not in public anyway.

Tuesday, April 17th

As I was getting ready for work on Tuesday, I smelled the Earth again. As I was leaving my room I smelled the hint of Rose w/ it. Was this from the incense that previous night. Or was it an acknowledgment.

I did another prayer tonight. I lit a candle for each direction, and burned more incense. Again for the families, and all those affected by this tragedy.

Is this because I'm more comfortable w/ who I am? Or my path?

Today after work,

I felt again the need to send some Reiki Energy and to Pray, not only for the people who were killed but also for the the person who shot them, and their families and Friends.

I lit 6 candles, 1 for each direction, and 2 addl ones.

Lit some Rose Incense.

Prayed, sent some Reiki and teared up a little.

VA Tech Shooting

I consider Minnesota and Wisconsin my home, but Virginia was my home for 13 yrs.

I have some good friends down in VA and NC, and it touches me in an odd way to hear VA hit the news like here:

I have friends and family who have friends that went to Virginia Tech, my brother goes to games there.

And it just, makes me feel bad when I hear of things like this happening.

So much potential was there in the 33 that were killed, so much potential gone.

Last night I lit some candles, and some incense for the victims and their families. And sent some Reiki. I felt that I needed to do this, and still need to do this today.

33 People are Dead, and it could have happened anywhere.

On Sunday, I drew the 4 symbols in Reiki that I have learned.

The Power, Emotional, Distance, and Master symbols.

Then I traced over the precepts that I printed from the computer last week.

So now I have these hanging in my room, it helps me meditate easier.

Last night, I was worrying about a check that cleared for 50 cents less than I wrote, normally I wouldn't be so worried about it, except that this check was written to the county, and I would hate to have the county come looking for me for 50 little cents. So the bank will need to be called today.

Anyway, I was worrying about it, then in my mind I recited, 'just for today do not worry' and 'i have the resources to fix this' This helped me get to sleep really well.

Reiki

Yesterday I was brainstorming.

I today I realize a few things.

When I was attuned to level 3a, and Kristin, had attuned me to the master symbol and a meditation.

And I realized today, that doing the meditation, helped me accept my path.

I've always done back rubs, and foot rubs, and scatches of the back. Every one that I've done that with, always commented on how good it felt. One person, Maria, some one I worked w/ at Target, mentioned that she could feel the energy come through, while I did the back rubs for her.

I was always leary about turning my gift into a job, b/c i didn't want to turn something I love to do into something I hated. But Reiki helped me realize, that it wouldn't be something I hated. It would be something I loved to do. The Ren Festival helped to show that as well. It is something I love to do, and the Reiki enhances that.

So I started looking as schools for massage therapy, so I could work w/ that and Reiki.

Reiki has helped w/ meditations, my photography, and dreams both unconsious and consious.

Planning: Family and School

I'm planning a trip, it's up in the air at this point. But I'm going to put in for the time off, today.

Two trips, one in March and one in May, both to Wisconsin.

I need to email my aunt and my cousin, and see about hooking up w/ one of them and doing some family tree research, which would be the basis of the trip, and maybe even see the two schools I've been interested in seeing in Madison.

We shall see. Right now things are just in the planning stages.

I'm thinking about the leaving Friday after work, and coming back on Tues/Wed. But again, I gotta look at a few things, ask about coming in early and leaving about an hour early and friday so I can leave either before or just as traffic is starting.

But the dates I'm looking at right now, are St Patties day Weekend/following week, and Memorial Day weekend/following week.

I need to find a place to stay, and set some things up, today would be time off scheduling.

That feeling you get...

I ordered Druid Priestess by Emma Restall Orr, off ebay at the end of this last month.

I started reading it, while I was out at my Aunt's place. This morning I was reading bef. the shower, and during the reading, when the Author calls for help during an interview, reading that passage I got a my pringly feeling all the way down my head and on to my shoulders and arms.

It made me think of what happened when I had my first Reiki Session. Except here, I felt the pringly feeling all along the right side after the Reiki Session. Kristin the Reiki Master w/ one of her students, also a master did the session at the Twin Cities Yule Fest, put on by CUUPS, in 2004. Kristin had used a tuning fork, and I haven't had that kind of reaction to it, so I decided to go ahead and

It was then and shortly after that I decided that Reiki was one of the paths for me. And the following January 2005, I became level I and II certified. Reiki has been phanominal in mediations and healing since.

The following Spring in 2006, I rcvd ART level III.

I've decided that I will forgo the Reiki Level IV til after I go to school.

The Big Three O

So yeah, today I turned 30.

Last night I went to bed and meditation on the off chance I zonked out in middle of the meditation, w/ the intention to review and clear out the last year, in my mind.

So this morning I felt very refreshed.

I did a meditation and my goals/intentions for the year. Not going into it, personal and all.

Then about 1215 I left here and went out to see Sarah at Borders, we did do some shopping and had some lupper.

I enjoyed it, and was glad we were able to meet up for a birthday outing.

Today I got Loreena's new cd, a new brain sync cd, the aromatherapy bible, a book by Caitlin R Kiernan "threshold", a cover for Silver dragon, and a tape to play in the car, and a 365 day calendar of pictures from scotland.

Very productive day.

Need to call my brother back and Mark back. Mark to schedule the Astrology reading, and Mike, b/c he called and left a message of happy birthdays.

Life

A day of reflection really. It's becoming more in the forefront of my mind then anything. I have a direction I want to go in my life. However, it does require that I go to college. I've been looking at the schools in MN, IA, and WI. So far, I've been leaning towards Windemere, East-West, or Center Point.

I'd like to go to school for Massage Therapy, however I don't want to go to school that just teaches Massage Therapy, I would like to go to a school, that teaches a variety of other skills, like aromatherapy, for example. More and more employers are looking for people that are not only trained in Massage Therapy, they have other skills to with it.

As some of you may know or not, I'm also a certified ART Level Reiki Therapist. Before the end of this year, I'm hoping to become insured, barring any other financial obligations.

Unfortuately, I will not be able to practice, where I live, b/c Chaska, prohibits operating a business from your home, when your home is listed as a Residential Zoned only. Apparently, there are very stiff penalties for doing it anyway.

There are a few things that I will need to do before I go on in my education, new car (by that I mean used, I don't ever plan on getting a car that has a loan on it, unless it's from my dad), and a new job.

I know that I would like to go to school FT, which means either a PT job and a school loan, or a School Loan for most of my expenses for the two year period, and a PT job during semester breaks or a FT job.

I need a dependable car, b/c I would still like to see the parents on the weekends, I enjoy the family dinners on Sunday night.

This past summer was GREAT! I got to do some Reiki on a daily basis, and it felt good. I don't know for sure, but I don't really know how to react when some tells me that I've helped them so very much, and that I should really look to it. I actually felt like crying during one of the mini sessions that I did. I didn't really intend to do Reiki, but I believe it was still happening, while I was doing hand massages. One woman sticks out, she was a very profound experience. I don't really understand why, but she was.

I got work for one of the Tarot Readers at the MN RenFest for the season, and got free admission to the fest. It was a good deal, and I liked working w/ her, she said that I was welcome to work w/ her next year, if FEST was still on.

I'm not sure why I read the news anymore...

Why would a father of an 8 month old blow himself up. Did his life have so little meaning? Did he have such low regard for life?

How do you find answers to this?

Especially for all the families involved, not just the families of the 52 missing and presumed dead, but the families of the bombers themselves. What is your 8 month old going to think when they he/she grows up enough to know what is going on? What is your family going to think? Didn't you leave anything for you mothers? Fathers? Families?

Ya, know if i take the time to get up, and drive you to New Prague, you would think that you would have the courtesy to be ready at 800 or 815am, like I said that you should. But no, that would be too hard for my roomy, she isn't ready by that time, she ready to go at 835. When I have to be at work in CHASKA at 930. Needless to say, I was late. 20 minutes late. I don't like being late, if I can avoid it. And if I didn't need to drive her, than I would not have been late today.

Then you talk on my cell phone, while were waiting in the driveway, the driveway at the house in which you have been staying of the past 3 weeks. And after about 60 seconds I say "cat" she's here. Not rude or anything, but it is 910am, and I now have 20 minutes to get to work, on a drive that takes 30-45 minutes depending on the traffic. You seem to think that I was being rude, I seem to think that you are not being considerate of the people around you. I don't mind taking care of your pets, I do mind when you do not communicate what is going on to me.

So now your gone for at least another week, and hopefully, or not, 3weeks, so I can enjoy the use of the tv again. I'm I being selfish, maybe. You do use my computer, you sound so irriated w/ me, b/c for some reason, I'm sounding a bit upset w/ you. But have you ever thought of why I might be upset w/ you. Maybe not.

I tried to bring up why I get upset, but you wouldn't here, so I try to keep my mouth shut, when I'm around you. But for some reason it does end up in the journals.

I have no problem sharing my car, I do have a problem w/ some one assuming that I'm at the beck 'n call...it gets irriating.

Especially when you send an email, stating that your going to drive out there and say hello, bring some mail, and bring the dog. And she writes back saying that she thinks she needs to come home then next and that the next day she is working all but two hours, and for YOU to call her, to make sure she's there before YOU come out.

I'm of the impression that if you need a ride that you are required to call ahead of time, not the other way around. But oh well, I call once, and adv that when she gets back she needs to call me and let me know when she needs the ride.

And then there are the thoughts that come out of no where...

Well, not nowhere, but close, like you watch a show, and you think of your political views. For example, my father's a republican and my mother's a democrat, my brother's a republican, my sister's a democrat, and I think I'm going towards the republican stand point on SOME if not most issues.

Like a woman's right to chose. Myself, I would probaly never have an abortion, however I do believe it is the choice of the person whom is carrying the child to make that choice. I don't support it as an option of birth control, (come on, if your going have sex, have the brains, to do it safely).

I didn't really support going to war in Iraq, however, I don't believe in leaving a job undone, which is exactly what will happen if we pull out, it will be undone, AND it will be worse than when we went in. We we unprepared for the long haul? Yes. How do we fix? Short of reinstating the draft, I have no clue. We are hold several operations, w/ a military that isn't properly staffed for the job. Which is unfortunate.

Some people may not support the war, but they really need to support the troops, and some people don't get that. They are over there for something we (the majority) believed in, and b/c some people are just beginning to realize that this war that is going on, isn't a small thing, nor is it going to be over in two weeks, it's going to be a long one.

And we cannot go back to sticking our head in the sand and hoping it's going to blow over, b/c frankly that's how we got into this mess, b/c we were america, and terrorist attacks don't happen here. Terrorists don't respond to white flags, or peace talks, they respond to violence, and THAT IS unfortunate. But how do you fix something like that. B/c the problem itself is on a religious level. How do you believe that your life has so little meaning in life, that you are willing to blow yourself up. And w/ you, you take a mother, a child, a husband, or/and a soldier that may have been all of those?

Tough questions, but so little answers?

Ya, know I don't mind driving or sharing my time w/ my roommate. I don't mind sharing money, however I do draw the line at certain instances.

yeah there have been alot of them lately...haven't there?

I got my severance pay, and my last pay check, and my first paycheck w/ Target. It turns out that my car bill wasn't as much as we thought it would be.

It was about 81 dollars for the brakes to be fixed, and another 160 dollars for my overheating to be fixed. So what does she want to do w/ MY money. She wants me to pay this months rent?!

BullSHIT!

I lost money carpooling w/ her over the last 4 months. I lost about 1-200 dollars a payperiod, b/c I was not at work, I was leaving work and driving her.

And she has the fucking business to tell me, 'well, i paid for the rent for this place in the first month, i paid for the deposit'.

Well, sorry, but I have driven her around, I have lost money doing it, I have had to put my car in the shop, I have over 1000 miles more on my car, b/c I've been driving her, around. And she ASSUMES that I'm going to pay her rent for her?! She doesn't ask, she assumes.

I probally wouldn't have had a problem w/ it, if I was sure I would get a pay back, but I'm not really sure abou that either.

Since Feburary, she has had car insurance drafted from her account, for a car she no longer owns, being that it was repoed on 02/26/05. She then states that she sent an email to her insurance agent in feb and march, but they payments con't. Then in April she called and advised that her insurance need to be canceled, and why. Then she was advised that if she wished a credit she needed to forward proof it was repoed in Feb. She didn't do it, didn't follow up on the email, and thus guess what?

They drafted the payment for 130.60 out of her checking account in June. Granted in April when she called her insurance company they should have canceled the insurance right then as of that date, and waited for her to forward the proof the car isn't her's anymore as of Feb., but she never followed up on this. ever!!!

Ah well, I had to post something ... about the money...

The only other problem I have had recently is that this past week, she im'd me asking for me to bring her checkbook out to her, and asking if I could ride her on some errands. I stated I had plans, she stated she wanted the rent paid. So the next day, which is the day she wanted me out there, I went. I get there, she has changed her mind, has to work, and therefore cannot come out w/ me. *glares at no one in particular* I take the check for the rent, and the deposit for my 1/2 of the rent and go home.

I then email her b/c she has yet to let me know what she needs ... other than a pair of jeans. Haven't heard anything back...
